Davines is a Carbon Neutral company because it achieved a state of balance between emissions produced and emissions avoided and/or removed from the atmosphere. Davines monitors, reduces and offsets all the emissions directly related to its activity: offices, production, energy used in the buildings and company vehicles (technically called scope 1 and 2).
However, according to latest scientific definitions, a commitment to carbon neutrality does not necessarily require two aspects that for Davines are crucial and that we already started started tackling:
- Taking responsibility also of the emssions that are not under our direct control (scope 3) - for instance, Davines already monitors, reduces and compensates 100% of the emissions deriving from packaging life cycle. And that's already beyond what a committment towards Carbon Neutrality implies.
- Reducing overall GHG emissions, to limit global warming to 1.5° C - a carbon-neutral business is encouraged to reduce its emissions, but without setting a specific target.

Hi,
I love your product, your shampoo is the only one that works on my fine curly hair. I try not to buy single use containers but your shampoo bars don’t work as well for me and I use more water with them. I was wondering if you had a bottle recycling program for you product. I would totally be willing to ship my empty bottles back to you company so they can be reused. Rather then just recycling then.
Best,
Rosa
