I live in a hot humid climate and have wavy curly frizzy hair. This product has greatly reduced my frizz. I use it first before my regular Davines products of Oi milk and Love leave in smoother. Love it!

What the heck?? I pretty frustrated I got a marketing text about Liquid Spell and then read the reviews. so I went for it and spent money I didn’t need to spend! To my horror the smell of Liquid Spell is so chemically it reminds me of head lice shampoo, and I was triggered with memories of the panic my sister and I went through trying to treat my little niece’s hair years ago. I tried to use Liquid Spell twice. I do not believe my hair was any more fuller and I was paranoid that people were going to smell the odor. O had to add more product to get free shipping and I didn’t get the free samples I requested so this whole experience is a bust.

I don’t know if I used too much or not enough? My hair felt dried out and like straw. Glad I only bought the small size. I was looking forward to some silky, smooth hair and with all the great reviews, I had to give it a try. I’d like to know opinions if I did not use enough? I’m hesitant to try again because my hair felt so awful all the other products. They are amazing I’m addicted to their shampoo and conditioner. So far this one’s for me.

I bought liquid spell online and it is so far the best product to hold my curls after blow dry even though my hair is naturally mostly straight.

I should have paid closer attention to size of container. I won't be buying from this site again. Product was half the size anticipated.

Loving the softness and shine this gives me. This is a simple packaged item that it so good for my hair. It makes me feel like my hair is soft and supple. I have thin hair and it works really well to make it feel more voluminous and just sleek in general.

Liquid Spell is great for us fine-haired ladies looking for a little more volume. I love the scent, and I love the pump that dispenses the product as a light-as-air foamy mousse. I also love the fact that it has heat protectant included. If you're on the fence, it's great that you can purchase a travel size to try it out before you commit to a regular size.

Love Davines ❤️ the OI line is my absolute favorite now, I have natural curly coarse hair but I platinum bleach and do Brazilian straightening every 3 months so I really need to take care of it. I love this product. A few years ago a salon recommended this product for my hair. My hair is medium texture but not so thick in volume as I've gotten older. My hair is naturally wavy. This product adds volume but no stickiness or dryness My hair looks shiny and is soft to the touch. I can use slightly more for a little extra volume with no heavy feeling. It is magical

Although I love Davines products, please be aware that if you have an issue there is no customer service line to speak with someone if you have an issue. I ordered 2 advent calendar boxes, only 1 showed up. I emailed them 3 times now several pictures of labels and boxes showing how it was labeled with 2 but clearly could not fit 2 in the box it was delivered in. It’s been 4 days and no response or resolution. It was to be a Christmas gift so I cannot express how disappointing this is, and I’m out $169.

I’ll start with the amazing fragrance. It kind of reminds me of black licorice (which I don’t like in taste) but is surprisingly good as a fragrance. That paired with the name gives me Halloween vibes which I love. Using this when paired with any other leave-in gives incredible shine and volume (but not too much) I have fine hair but a lot of it and too much volume makes me look electrocuted. It does not weight my hair down or make it look greasy. In this photo I’m long overdue for a trim and it drastically reduces my split ends.

I have very straight, flat, colored, and thin hair that doesn’t really do much. I’m really low maintenance with my hair and don’t use a ton of products, but this product has made such a difference on my hair that I had to leave a review. This product makes my hair somehow thicker and smoother. Each strand feels thickened and healthy. I can’t stop running my hands through my hair, but the best part for me is the volume. I guess I didn’t realize my hair was “de-sensitized” until I tried this. Just purchased my third bottle, would recommend if you’ve got thin or lifeless hair and you don’t like the feeling of heavy products or oils.

I used this remotely on every client just for the shine it gives, it’s not to thick and smells heavenly!! I’ve used it on every hair type!:)

I like the smell and texture it offers. Most notably though my stylist (who uses different product line) asked if I was using a different product because my hair was notably thicker. I think I'll stick with this!

TRULY UNPARALLELED. I have fine hair and searched my whole life for a mouse that would actually give me profound volume, and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever use anything else. I don’t even have to experiment with new products that claim to do this because it’s perfection. But also, I just learned after a few years now of using this, that it is also a heat protectant, which is awesome (you’d never assume this either because even though I trust Davines to be super healthy for hair overall, I still thought that Liquid Spell must be kinda bad for my hair, so I’m stoked!). I use this on my crown from my bangs to the back, and then the Oi Milk (which is also a heat protectant) for my mid-shaft to ends, and they’re a great team. Yes, it’s a pretty expensive product but you don’t need much and it lasts really long. Thank you Davines for the high quality you provide!

This is a nice styling product. It smells really good, and I like that my hair still feels clean after applying it. Does not cause greasiness or stickiness. Though the effect is subtle, it does seem to add a little bounce and structure to my fine hair when I blow dry it.

This was my first product I purchased from Davines and now I can’t live without it. The smell transforms when you pump out the product the scent shifts once you distribute into your hair! Like- sweet fennel With vanilla. The smell alone is amazing. The purpose of this product you notice instantly. It’s so amazing.

I’m a hairstylist and I have tried SO many hair products. This is HANDS DOWN my favourite. My hair has never been so touchable soft, and visibly shiny! My clients have all picked up a bottle as well! I use 2 pumps on wet, and 1/2 on dry to hold down fly aways without stickiness or crunch!

I’m so used to styling my long curly hair to go straight because, when I let my hair dry naturally, the curls turn to frizz when I brush it. But today I used this product on my wet hair and let it dry curly. My curls were softer, more defined, and, best of all, didn’t turn frizzy when I brushed it. Nice!

This makes my hair super soft and more manageable. I’ve been mixing a little texture serum in with it to make my layers more defined.

Helped with breakage on fine hair I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this, but I started using it after every shower because it’s easy to apply and didn’t weigh my hair down or anything. I didn’t notice any immediate difference. I kind of forgot about it and it just became a part of my routine that I didn’t pay much attention to, but recently I noticed that the usual breakage I have around my crown is almost nonexistent now. I’ve also had significantly less shedding esp in the shower. I’m almost done with the bottle at this point, but I’m really impressed and will repurchase. I have very fine, easily damaged hair for reference. Im guessing it just takes awhile to see results so be patient!

Amazing! My hair was slightly damaged from my balayage and color. I’ve started using this product (just two pumps) with the OI All In One Milk and seriously, maybe two uses later, my hair soft and shines!! Absolutely amazing product!!!

transformed in days! I have VERY long VERY wavy VERY fine but thick hair. Lately I’m struggling with limp waves, breakage and split ends. This transformed my hair in two uses — my waves have a better shape, my hair feels nourished and the lustre and shine I once had pre-Quarantine are back. I use in combination with Love Smoothing line, Veg Miracle Conditioner and the Keratin sealer on my ends. I never use heat, so I hope the person who asked about air drying sees this!

How does this do with air drying? Does this still create volume with air drying? My hair is thin and porous and I am wearing it long these days, so I usually don't use a blow dryer because it causes too much damage on my hair.

It has a spell on me! I love this product. It comes with a powerful delivery of what it promises. I have not been using the product for long, so I cannot say much for the strengthening aspect of the product, but its a very good texturing serum without the crunchiness. I do not use any other product for heat defense, so this is doing the job. I have wavy hair, and I love how the waves are defined when I apply Liquid spell. I can go without a blowdry on a regular day, although my hair is super frizzy. I have a lightened balayage processed on my hair, so I use an another product for extra smoothening. I am happy that I now do not have to apply multiple products on my hair.

A Little Confused So.. I'm not sure where all these reviews are coming from? I bought this in August (it's now Nov) and this sticky foamy mousse doesn't have a purpose. I've used it on my thick curly somewhat frizzy hair, I've used it on my daughters thick straight shoulder length hair and my other daughters long thick curly hair and I see absolutely nothing notable or "wonderful". Am I not using this product correctly?? I definitely laughed out loud reading some of these reviews, I must not have the same product in my bottle that you all have or your just all under some paid "Spell". BTW, it doesn't have a scent. Like, there's no noticeable scent. All these "Smells Great"?! Yeah... No. Not fragrant. At all.

Love it! Would LOVE travel size, too! I love this product. It leaves my hair softer after blow drying and curling...and, it seems to make my hair curl better. Sure would LOVE a TRAVEL-SIZED bottle. This one's way too big if I'm only taking a carry-on--where all my liquids, aerosols, gels, creams AND pastes (e.g. hair, facial, AND body products) have to fit into that tiny, 1-quart zip-lock bag! Unfortunately, as much as I LOVE the product, for me, this bottle is way too big to make that cut :(

ONE STAR FOR THE SMELL I love the smell of this. It has a gorgeous liquorice/fennel smell. Unfortunately that is the only positive thing I have to say about it. I bought it from my hairdressers having been suckered in by the matketing leaflet, which is a whole booklet of it's wonderous powers. Kudos to said marketers because they're likely to get at least 1 extortionate £35 out of most people that read it, due to its powerful claims. Unfortunately for me it was £35 down the drain as not only did it not fulfil a single one of the claims, it caused my hair to tangle, stretch and pull. It also left it extremely dry and flyaway. I have long, fine hair, so should have been the perfect candidate according to the 'story'. I used it as directed and have tried many products over the years. This is definitely up there with the worst for me. I'd think twice before parting with my money on this one if I were you.

SMELLS GREAT, seems to dry my hair out at the ends I don't know why this product would dry out my ends since its LITERALLY for damaged hair, but mine isn't THAT bad off and after using this product it feels more damaged than it is! Not sure if this is just me??

CONTAINS GLUTEN Purchased at Barneys, saw "wheat amino acids" and it went right back. Major bummer as I was looking forward to using it, a lot of folks (like me) are going to be allergic to this.

Liquid Magic Love Davines and regularly use the Minu line for my color-treated hair, and Liquid Spell is my new all-time favorite treat. It immediately transformed my fine, thin, aging hair from wispy and limp, giving it wonderful structure and body, and my style holds all day. Great shine - can't say it's more than what I already get with other Davines products, but my color seems to have more depth. Liquid Spell is Exactly what my hair needed to become the hair I always wanted!

Fabulous in a pump! The first time I tried it didn't think much of it. Thought I wasted money on yet another product..hate that I bought it without sampling the product first. Second time I had to make it work..so I mixed it with the Oi serum and loved the results. Scalp to ends with this concoction and love the results. Silky straight hair without greasy. AMAZING!!! I have been using Davines products for a few years now. I have many, and I think they’re great. And they have allowed my hair to grow to a length I haven’t seen since elementary school :) But this is the first product I felt compelled to review. My stylist used it on me in the salon over a month ago, and I was amazed. Silky, shiny, soft, bouncy. And it looked like my hair was just straighted without greasy straightener. There was no way I was leaving the salon without a bottle! And it hasn’t disappointed at home.

WOW FANTASTIC PRODUCT!! My Stylist just used this product on my hair this week and I was so impressed I purchased a bottle right away. I have very fine thin hair so this was the added boost my fine strands needed. It is like Oi Milk I don't think I could live without it once I have tried it...
