Once, Forever

5 looks by Tom Connell to inspire your next salon visit

From platinum blonde to bold orange, discover fresh hair inspirations designed to celebrate individuality and natural beauty.

A certain type of magic happens when you sit down in the salon chair – a value born from the perfect synergy of color, cut, care and styling, crafted for a person living a specific moment in life, and celebrating the natural beauty of hair.

From this vision, the concept of Once, Forever collection was born. Five inspiring looks by Davines Hair Art Director Tom Connell capture the moment when the instinct meets the individuality, creating hair for a person, not on a person

Look 01: Lilly

Platinum with textured waves and flicks

This bright platinum blonde plays with opposites, both excess and restraint. Time and care were taken to create a color result that’s minimal, but unique and personal. The cut reflects the waves, textures, flicks and kicks that the hair is naturally inclined to do already. Framing her eyes and cheekbones, this look celebrates and enhances what’s already there.

Look 02: Julia

Shadow root platinum with piecey texture

This cut balances freedom and formation, with a precise base that gives way to wilder, textured lengths at the top. Color-wise, platinum blonde is given a realistic spin with the addition of subtle shadow around the face, a nod to the ’90s. It’s vibrant and personal without being high maintenance.

Look 03: Ying

Deep, tonal brunette with a geometric cut

Fjords of lighter brunette colors run in channels up and down the deep shade featured within this look. Blended to perfection, these subtle intonations come together for a final result that’s dimensional, like the grains in walnut wood. The geometric shape of the cut gives sleek definition, but in combination with the color, the look still feels warm and soft.

Look 04: Julie

Smoky blonde and champagne curls

This is another unique blonde combination that blends the lightness of smoky, lighter blondes with the warmth of champagne hues. The cut respects the natural shape of the curls, taking what’s already there and gently shaping it into a style that’s truly for rather than on a person.

Look 05: Alceste

An iconic blend of two cuts rendered in a bold orange

Neither a bob nor a mullet, this look embraces the comfort of a lived-in haircut whilst feeling new. A dark natural root anchors the vibrant blood orange tone that drenches the ends. It’s a fun, experimental color that’s attainable and low-commitment.
