gifted by davines This is such a great shampoo bar for my fine wavy hair. It lathers so well and does not leave a weird residue like a lot of other bars do. It really helps to control frizz even on its own. I imagine it would do even better with the paired conditioner. To make it last longer, I like to cut off a slice vs using the whole bar at once and place it on a soap tray outside of the shower after use

I received this shampoo bar complimentary from Davines in exchange for my honest opinions about the product. First of all, I really like that the bar was packaged in non-plastic wrap. The paper packaging still felt luxe despite the eco-conscious effort for the wrapping to be recyclable. I’ve tried other bar shampoos that don’t lather much, which is time consuming if you’re used to a rich and foamy lather. I loved that this creates the rich and bubbly lather that I’m used to shampooing with. The scent is bright and feminine. I didn’t get any strange build up. My hair felt squeaky clean and smelled lovely. As for the frizz, unfortunately my hair still looked a bit frizzy but it did look glossier than usual. Once my hair was fully dry, it felt soft, manageable and hydrated - so I will definitely continue using. This is an especially great product when traveling with limited liquids!

I followed the instructions, lathered the bar between my hands first and then applied it thoroughly all over my scalp. I had used an oil as a pre-conditioning treatment beforehand and this took it off completely and effortlessly, which immediately won me over. The lather is rich and creamy, exactly what you want from a shampoo, and rinse off was clean and easy. My hair looked noticeably good after just one use, enough to make me seriously consider purchasing this once my gifted bar runs out.
