The Renaissance Circle Repairing hair mask for damaged hair

This product smells so so so bad, it took five washes to try and remove the smell. It feel like I bathed in axe body spray yuck

I love how the product moisturizes my hair, smells great. Hair looks great after I use it!

Wasn't as smoothing as other Davines masks, but my hair did feel nourished. Nice to use in combination with the Let It Go mask.

I absolutely love this product. It smells great and it cuts down on my frizz ALOT! There isnt anything bad about it.

That mask is really a miracle

Unfortunately the hair mask didn’t make much of a difference compared to regular conditioner. It also has a pretty strong perfume smell- not necessarily “bad” smelling but it’s intense and the smell lasted for days in my hair.

This mask is incredible and really worked for me! My hair is curly and thick and during the winter it gets very dry. My hair was very frizzy and looked unhealthy before I used this mask. After one application, I saw and felt a noticeable improvement in my hair. My hair looked healthier, my curls were "bouncier" and I had very little frizz. I used it in conjunction with Oi Shampoo and Oi Conditioner. I highly recommend this product!

Wintertime makes my hair incredibly dry, so I need heavy-hitting conditioners to keep my curls from turning into a static frizzy mess. This hair mask feels so nourishing and my hair feels SO soft after using it. Also, it smells divine.

The Renaissance Circle Hopeless hair mask is a miracle! I am shocked at how well it worked. The top layer of my hair was dry, a little frizzy, and looked terrible. One application of this and the texture changed into beautifully healthy. Incredible!

I have used Davines for years and love my shampoo and conditioner. I purchased The Renaissance Circle and was disgusted with the scent of it. It was so overpowering and smelled like cheap men's cologne. Might actually be more like drug store Axe the middle school kids used to wear. It almost made me sick it was so strong and lasted through a couple washes as well. Personally think this product should be taken off their website it is that bad. DO NOT PURCHASE if you are sensitive to any strong smells or scents. It's the worst hair product I've ever had!!!

I absolutely love The Renaissance Circle and have been using it religiously for 4 years now, along with many other Davines products. I love how this mask brought new life back to my hair. After years of extension use my hair was very damaged, brittle and thin! I started using The Renaissance Mask weekly as an overnight mask and the difference it’s made in restoring the health to my hair has been just incredible. I now alternate this mask with other Davines masks but I will never switch to another hair product brand as I credit this amazing mask and Davines (and a lot of self care) to saving my hair. It’s now thicker, softer and longer than it’s been in years. I highly recommend this mask, and Davines, to anyone who needs extra tlc for their hair.

The smell is so strong and resembles mens cologne that it doesn't even matter to me how my hair feels. I can't wait until it fades. For our health, we shouldn't be using artificial scents anyway. I wish at least one mask was scent free, or just had a couple rosebuds thrown in.

Also came here to see if other products have this scent. It is incredible. Conditioner is amazing too, but i would buy everything and anything with this scent.

My stylist introduced Davines products a few years ago. The hair masks and oils are wonderful to keep my hair gorgeous in between appointments. I love the Renaissance Circle mask for pampering days when I do my facial, deep conditioner, and relax. Makes my hair so soft, bouncy, and healthy.

I love this hair mask! I discovered it at my salon. I am obsessed with the scent I came to the comments to see if they have a line of shampoos and conditioners with this scent, and it looks like I am not the only one! Please make one Davines!!! Or someone please let me know where I can get a perfume that smells like this!

Not loving the scent at all… it is so strong and reminds me of old lady and chemicals. My hair feels fuller and my waves were enhanced, but I cannot tell a visible difference in health or hydration. Not their best hair mask.

I’ve tried so many products for my frizzy, poofy hair. This is the first one that I actually think is working. It makes my hair so silky smooth. And when I blow out my hair the results are so much smoother and no frizz. The best my hair has ever looked!

This treatment is a total game changer and what you definitely need once a week from product and to protect from blow drying and straightening. Hair feels extremely healthy, soft and manageable and keeps it “young looking”. Very easy to do first thing in the shower. A little goes a long way. I love it and all of your products!

This is an amazing treatment!! My prior favorite was the Vegetarian Miracle Mask in which I really like but, this is my new favorite especially for the price point. The smell is very different but, I actually like earthy musky scents. Its definitely worth a try!!

Wonderful mask and truly for all hair types! I have thick, long, fine, natural 4B hair which I recently dyed. My colorist turned me on to Davines products. I'm so grateful. My hair has never been this bouncy, shiny, soft, silky, and manageable. I will be using this mask from now on and buying it for my daughters as well.

This product is how my stylist took my color from black to honey gold with platinum ribbons without damage. We lightened gradually and I used this product throughout. My hair is so shiny and healthy despite all that processing. A miracle product.

Great product- not so impressed with the overpowering scent. This really helped my dry hair but the smell is very strong. A few hours later after my hair was dry, I found myself with a headache from the scent. I’m not usually sensitive to perfumes or smells but it’s just so strong.

Please never change the scent! I love it! My daughter keeps telling me I smell so good. I told her it was the hair mask I used! Love love love it!

I really don't understand the scent hate - its my favorite part of this mask! That being said, preferential scent is personal, but when you put the scent aside, the mask itself is UNREAL. My hair is so nourished and soft after I use this, I love it! I have a set of Halo Extensions, and Ill use this mask on the extensions as well. They completely bring back the soft texture. Amazing.

Do not use if you are sensitive to strong scents. I honestly can’t speak to how it performs because I had to rinse it out immediately. The scent is so strong and very musky. Even after I washed it out the smell was still lingering and bothering me. I don’t write reviews too often but I wanted to warn anyone who might be nervous about the smell.

Great mask, horrifying scent This is just the worst smell ever. It's akin to the first cologne every teenage boy buys, that rank, beast-mode, Axe body spray, white sunglasses bro scent that makes people gag. I feel like wearing a sign with apologies to everyone who has to smell my hair today. Beyond awful. Who knows if the mask works, I had to wash it out before I passed out.

Smells like patchouli This product leaves my hair soft and deeply conditioned but the smell is so off-putting that I am not going to purchase it again. It smells very similar to patchouli oil, very strong and takes days to fade,

Awful I was recommended this mask so I went out and purchased it from a supplier, I used it and the smell was so incredibly strong of chemicals it was awful, it left chunks of weird stuff in my hair and took multiple washes to get the smell out. I emailed customer service because it was that bad and they don’t do credits if I had purchased it through a salon so I went back to the salon and they also don’t do refunds only exchanges so I decided maybe it was just the one I got and opened up another and the same awful smell... looks like I won’t be Purchasing from davines again and warn others unless they want to smell like lice shampoo and heavy chemicals :(

Maybe I got a bad batch? As far as results go, I totally agree... this is worth every penny. However, this is my first time using it and it smells so intensely like rubbing alcohol I had to open the window in the shower to air it out a bit! I thought it would subside once I rinsed, but even my rinsed hair smelled like rubbing alcohol. I thought maybe it’s one of those things where you put up with a negative because the results are so positive... but I see everyone saying it smells incredible - I wonder if maybe I got an old batch? Can these expire?

Love this stuff! I cannot say enough about this! This is hands- down the best hair mask I have ever used! I brought this to Cancun with me to try and help with the damage from a week of sun & salt water. I came home with my hair in better condition than I before I left. The smell is really great too! Between this and your OI conditioner, I am a fan for life!

WOW. I received this mask in my Birchbox in the month of August and I have to say it is the best thing I have ever put on my hair. I have never written a review but I had to say I used this mask and let my hair hair dry. Normally it’s pretty flat and frizzy, but it looks like I got a salon blowout. I am amazed.

The best mask I’ve EVER used I used to relax my hair every six months until I had to do the “big chop” because of how damaged my hair was. I went to a salon to get hair treatments but they recommended this mask to use on my own too. The very first time I used it, I could see and feel the difference. My hair wasn’t just minimal damage either; it was horrible. When I saw the size of the packaging I thought that I would only get one or two masks out of it but to my surprise, it lasted FIVE. For reference, I have 4A hair at a bit longer than shoulder length when wet. I usually leave it on for 15-20 minutes instead of 10 like the directions but I just try to get the most out of it. Lastly, I use conditioner like in my hair routine after rinsing the mask out. This is 100% the best mask I’ve ever come across.

Worth Every Penny My coworkers can always tell when I've used this mask. First, there is a visible difference. The first time I used it, one coworker asked "why does your hair look like you just walked out of a shampoo commercial?" But they also know because I walk around saying "you guys - touch my hair. It feels like lotion. TOUCH IT!!" This stuff smells like Chris Evans ripping a log in half with his bare hands and provides instant, *very* noticeable results. It is definitely on my list of must-haves.

Smells like heaven Let me start with the smell. It’s amazing, it truly is. My husband keeps on smelling my hair and complements me every time I use this mask. What I like to do is to wash my hair with Oi shampoo normally or Nourishing shampoo I like as well. Towel dry my hair and then apply this mask, put on shower cap and cover myself with hot towel, just from the drier. And walk around the apartment, do some work, cook, watch tv show, etc. I leave the mask for as long as I can (minimum 20-30 mins), but ideally for over an hour. Then I wash it off, towel dry, apply oi milk and style. My hair is soft, healthy, smells amazing and I feel like I got salon hair at home.

Smells so good! I thought this product would weigh my fine, frizzy, often-colored hair down, but it gave me incredible shine and body. Best of all, the scent is fabulous and it lingers.

Ultra Nourishing I am a loyal customer to all the Davines line, and just tried the Renaissance Mask, and love it so much that I bought one for my sister! This is a product that is a must-have in your shower so that when you're feeling that your hair needs some extra nourishment, you have it on hand.

Essential! I have blonde highlights in my hair which take a toll. I love the highlights and being blonde but I realize I have to do masks or deep conditioners at least once a week. This Renaissance Circle is absolutely fantastic! I was pleased that for one thing I got about 5 uses from this one package. I found this to be a product that actually made a difference in my hair, improving the damage. Also, my hair still styles really well after using it which isn't always the case with deep conditioners.

cannot believe it... until I touched my hair. my dark brown (nearly black) asian hair was straight permed, suffered from long-dry-winter damage, flat-ironing, blow-drying... then a trip to a country with constant humid weather, rinsed with polluted water for months, and combined with motorbike wind tangles - it felt almost past the point of no return. i got another straight perm to de-tangle it, and then couldn't resist to do the ash-grey ombre - almost destroyed my hair (stylist was very surprised it still sorta felt like hair). came back from the trip and tried to manage my hair with argan oils, but also still heat-styling... hair just got more and more tangled and stretchy feeling whenever it was wet or damp. finally, my salon suggested i try out the davine's renaissance circle mask, since my stylist has also used it for her processed hair. i was sold since her hair looked much nicer than mine, bought a sample that was told to last around four applications and took it to the test at home. i used it tonight, and i really have to say i am in disbelief that my hair even feels this way. i don't think my hair has felt this "healthy" and soft and detangled since i first put the flat iron to my natural virgin hair in highschool. i recommend this for all the "hopeless" hair out there. i even want to buy the 750ml container that they have for salons because this is something i needed all this time! however, just baby steps for now.

Amazing! Love, love, love this mask! I love the sun and swimming and it takes a toll on my hair. But this product absolutely beats the stress of sun and chlorine. My hair feels so soft, smooth, manageable, hydrated, and healthy. Plus it smells absolutely divine and peaceful. So, not only is it a treat for the hair, it's a treat for the mind. Another bonus? My hands feel super soft after applying this product!

I need more! Frankincense. If you like the smell of frankincense, you will like the way your hair smells after using this mask. It's hard to specify what it does to the condition of my hair other than to say it makes it just "better." The smell of the product going onto the hair is a bit strong, but the scent it leaves behind is fresh and energizing. I am so disappointed that it's out of stock and hope there's more soon!

Over bleached hair come to life I spent almost a year bleaching my whole head over and over trying to get the perfect platinum and I definitely got it, but it left my hair fried and easily tangled. I used half a packet of this product in the shower last night and let it sit for about 10 minutes and I cannot stop running my fingers through my hair. It feels like different hair, I mean I can actually get my fingers all the way through without stopping halfway down. Haha

Mask that saved my hair! Not only does this mask smell amazing but it works wonders! I have naturally dark wavy, thick frizzy hair that I use heat tools on every day and highlight every couple months.... so I have breakage and split ends galore. Using this just once a week (along with melu shampoo and conditioner the rest of the week) has nursed my hair back to health making it shiny, smooth and less tangly.
