I have been using this clay for 8+ years and I'm very disappointed to find Davine's has changed the formula. It used to be the only clay that worked for my hair due to its strong hold. Now, they've changed the consistency, the colour, the smell, and the quality. It no longer holds my hair and leaves it feeling greasy and looking shiny. Extremely disappointed in this change. Will no longer be buying this product.

I would love to write a 5 star review, as this used to be the greatest product on the market. But it's now next to useless. I keep buying it, hoping that they will have gone back to their roots, but it's still a terrible product for the money you pay. It's now pretty misleading to call it a "clay" as it's more of a paste, or pomade, and it's no longer a strong hold. It also used to have a great matte texture and finish, but now slightly greasier, probably to it being more paste-like that clay. I just hope that Davines listen to their customer base, and return to the old product that was the best I'd ever used.

This hair clay is the best god damn hair cream ever made. It is the best in every way. Hold, texture, sheen, aroma, duration. The problem is that it is hard to get and is almost always out of stock. Out of stock for years at a time. You have to try all these other hair creams at $20 a pop while languishing in the gray, being constantly disappointed and irritating to your partner with your complaints. This hair cream is a double edged sword. Buy at your own risk.

I’ve been using this product for 10+ years. It used to be amazing. Each of the last three times I’ve purchased it, it’s been a little bit different. This last batch is a poor product and a sad imposter of what it used to be. It’s very frustrating when companies alter a great product. I would like a refund. Thank you.

I've been a long-time fan of this product, but the latest version doesn’t feel the same. The texture has noticeably changed — it’s now much softer and more wet compared to how it was before the supply shortage. Previously, the clay had a firmer, drier consistency straight out of the container, which allowed for better control and hold with less product.
Now, I find I have to use more to get the same hold, and even then, the result is shinier and gives off more of a "wet" look — which defeats the purpose of a strong, matte moulding clay. The hold also doesn’t seem as strong or long-lasting as it used to be.

Well, you have changed it . As always, good things come to an end. It was hard, heavy clay that needed to be really worked with before appyling and now it became to light , closer to other products. It was unique and worth every penny.

I love love love the Strong Moulding Clay. I hate that it is out-of-stock so often, but I managed to catch it in-stock and stocked up. I love the way it holds, and the matte finish keeps it demure. And, my wife and I both love the light, pure smell. Great product - keep making it and keeping it in-stock, Davines!

I have thick, coarse, but straight hair. I use mousse, as well as one to two different types of STRONG holding clay at the same time ( and hairspray as well). I love this particular type of strong clay. I have a hard time finding it in stock.

The hold and resulting texture is very good. The tiny bits of hardened product that often times are visibly stuck in hair after apply product are not. Wish the consitency was free of these artifactss as it's my only issue.

I have a pixie cut with fine hair and this is the BEST wax I've ever tried. A lot of other ones leave an oily, greasy look and weigh my hair down, but I use just a tiny bit of this and it's the perfect hold for the day. Even my barber has said this is the perfect product for my type of hair!

This hair clay is incredible. I have a very short thin pixie cut and I use this clay + some hairspray to set it to make a edgy hairstyle. I've been using the clay for years and it performs beautifully in all weather (I live in Canada so it can be both super hot and super hold). It has a pleasant scent, and washes off easily in the shower and off the hands. It's not oily and it's perfectly matte. Love it!!

Love the dry matte finish
I use this product everyday after the shower. Its so easy to style your hair wet and let it dry. Once its dry you can run your fingers through your hair to give it a more natural and matte finish. The fragrance is great too, almost a cocoa butter smell. I came here to try and buy more, but sadly its out of stock.. Hope its not being discontinued !!

Simply amazing
After long, long search for perfect hair product, i finally found one! Clay has a nice vanilla scent, not overpowering - just nice, it has a great hold and it is perfect for my thinning hair - gives them volume and hair looks natural and non greasy. Worth the money. Just perfect!

Good Product
If you're familiar with Hanz De Fuko, this is like a combination of claymation and quicksand--but better. It has a strong hold and work's great. It adds volume and allows hair to be re-worked throughout the day.

Holds all day!
I have short hair that I "form" in the morning and never touch again during the day. This is the first product I have found that holds all day but does not make my hair stuff or sticky. I LOVE it!
