Taking Responsibility
We’ve stood for the earth since 1983 and believe beauty and responsibility go hand in hand.
Our interdependence with the planet drives our purpose of contributing to a good life for all, where diversity is celebrated in all its forms and responsibility is embraced.
At Davines, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We’re dedicated to creating products, relationships and experiences that respect our environment and community and show that businesses can be a force for good.
Creating Beauty that Regenerates Ecosystems
Beauty goes beyond surface-level; it is earth deep. That’s why we craft formulations that respect your hair and the biodiversity of our planet.
We’re committed to preserving natural ecosystems, investing in regenerative organic agriculture and using innovative ingredients of natural origin. Here is how we’re making this possible.

Low Impact Formulations
We care deeply about the ingredients in our products and how they impact our community and the surrounding environment.
Regenerative Organic Agriculture
As of 2024, Davines obtained ROC® certification for the European Regenerative Organic Center (EROC), the heart of our regenerative ingredients and one of our methods for restoring soil, sequestering carbon and upholding our ecosystem’s biodiversity.
We have also supported 16 farmers in achieving the same certification and introduced 18 Regenerative Organic Certified™ active ingredients into our products.

Low Impact Packaging
Reduce, reuse, recycle - three words that capture our packaging ethos.
From bottle to box, our packaging is made with circularity in mind, following 6 eco-design principles.

1. Use less material
Lightweight designs mean fewer shipping emissions.
2. Simplify product design
Fewer complexities make it easier to recycle.
3. Prioritize recycled and renewable materials
We use FSC paper, recycled plastic, bio-based plastic and recycled aluminum.
4. Facilitate recyclability
We opt for mono-material packaging and educating consumers on best practices.
5. Promote reuse/refill solutions
We continue to expand our offering of eco-friendly, refillable shampoos and products.
6. Optimize logistics to reduce emissions
Better arrangements and systems lead to more energy-efficient shipments.
We actively support plastic collection initiatives, working with partners towards the removal of plastic waste in an amount equal to the plastic packaging we sell.
In 2024, we removed 866 tons of plastic. Since 2021,
2568 tons of plastic waste
have been collected from the environment.

Supporting and Engaging People and Communities
Through close partnerships and campaigns, we’re able to create change on a local level. Each project gives us measurable actions and results that give back to both nature and people.
Meet a select few of our key partners:

B Responsible
Davines has been a B Corp since 2016 and, starting from 2019, both our Italian headquarters and our U.S. branch have become Benefit Corporations.
Being part of the B Corp movement and existing as a Benefit Corporation means we run our company differently from traditional business models. For us, business is a force for good. Our measure of success comes from our dedication to having a positive impact on the planet and its people.
Our Annual Sustainability Report
We create our Davines Group Sustainability Report to serve as a mirror of our efforts and a compass for the future. Find out more about the progress we’ve made this year.

What the Future Holds
Climate is a challenge for all of us. Davines has cemented its commitment to its sustainability journey through several targets. By 2030, we aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions per kg of bulk product by 55% (compared to 2022). By 2050, our goal is to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain.
