Unlike most hair care products that I use, this one came packaged in a tub instead of a squeeze bottle. I have to be honest, I don’t love the tub container. It takes up more space in my gym/travel bag, has a higher likelihood of getting wasted if I accidentally drop it while it’s open and is more likely to get contaminated when I scoop out product multiple times during a single use. The conditioner itself smells beautiful and leaves my hair moisturized without any heaviness or buildup. My hair was very manageable and easy to comb while wet - which isn’t always the case for my long and fine hair. Despite the tub container, I will definitely continue using!

Sadly, this conditioner wasn’t the best match for my hair. After using it, my hair felt more tangled than usual and I had to use quite a bit of detangler afterward. I think it may just be too lightweight for my fine, blonde balayage, color-treated hair since it didn’t give me the level of hydration I typically need. I was hoping to love it because I really appreciate the cleaner ingredients and the concept of a more delicate conditioner. Just like many other reviews have mentioned, this conditioner leaves my hair feeling and looking greasy. It feels like the conditioner hasn’t been fully rinsed out, even though it has been. This conditioner is not meant for fine hair, and maybe not any hair type because of the residue it leaves behind. Very disappointed.

I was really disappointed by this conditioner. I had purchased their LOVE conditioner when I had gotten a perm and loved it! Even when I let my hair go back to straight, it still left my hair feeling soft, light weight, and silky smooth. When I ran out I figured I should buy a conditioner that's more for my fine, straight hair so I purchased this one. It feels like it doesn't rinse out well. I thought maybe my hair had to get use to it, but that's not the case. It leaves my hair feeling dull, weighted, and kinda frizzy. It reminds me of those hippy products that are healthy, but make your hair seem like it's still dirty and greesy, but this is also frizzy and without the sheen. It really does the bare minimum of detangling it I guess. Really bummed as these products aren't cheap.

There has to be an easier way to use this - the tub is really hard to open and then to close when you have conditioner on your hands… plus it fills with water while you’re struggling through all this in the shower. I love all Davines products that I have buy this conditioner. I have very fine, straight hair. I usually have to be careful with conditioners bc my hair is prone to getting greasy pretty quick. This conditioner made my hair feel so dry & tangled i could barely comb through it after my shower. It also made the static in my hair way worse. I have tried the conditioner a few times using different shampoos with it to see if I could find a cold combination but it just isn’t happening. So sad I decided to spend the money on this one.

Only thing that is bad, is this company’s problem with response time when customers need human help with an order.
There is NO WAY to contact Davines other than a text message, which doesn’t offer any help except to say someone will email you right away! Which actually means days, weeks or even months later. When they do finally respond it’s generally unhelpful because the email doesn’t offer the help you need.
Davines will alienate a good portion of its customer base if it doesn’t start providing phone help to customers.
Ordering from a company that’s a pain to work with makes people go elsewhere to shop. Nobody needs this kind of behavior.

Underwhelmed Is the best way I can describe this conditioner. At first everything was really great and then I started noticing a lot of buildup using this with the matching shampoo. My scalp area was becoming increasingly greasy and I could feel a film on my hair. The smell is wonderful and it’s very light and uplifting.
Looking at the ingredient list I’m pretty sure I can tell what’s going on as to why the formula is leaving a build up.A shame because it seems that the brand has a lot of potential but it is definitely not for someone like me who has low porosity hair.

I am 67 years old and have used many different conditioners in my life, and DeDe is the best Ive ever used. It plumps up my fine hair, has a delightful soft fragrance, and looks like a mango and cream gelato. As with all Davines products, a little goes a very long way.
