This leaves curls defined without frizz (as long as you don’t do anything to prompt frizzing of course) and the scent is a very clean nostalgic scent, not like house cleaner but like a classic scented sanitizer. A lot of curly shampoos leave a sticky or heavy buildup and a residue on my strands essentially drying my hair out, but this one is the exact opposite the baobab extract really helps the moisture stay locked in so my curls look shiny and bouncy instead of dull and frizzy that I often find with “curl helper” products. My hair is easier to style afterwards without the gross buildup so I can use other products on healthy, clean hair. And I love that it makes my bathroom smell like a spa - fig and lime were always meant to be together. I have been using 3 Love Curl products for a year, liking the products. But noticing my hair, fine, curls, thinning, becoming brittle and dull. I looked at the ingredients for problems and found in all 3 products: shampoo, conditioner & mask, Isopropyl alcohol. This drying alcohol will damage fine curley hair everyday over time. I was shocked to see this drying alcohol in Curl shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. Please remove this ingredient from your formula so others don’t have to be put in the same damaged hair position that I am.

The scent is pleasant without being overwhelming - nothing cloying like the Oi line. The shampoo lathers nicely; however, I did need to wash twice for my hair to feel clean. When my hair is wet, the waves are pretty and well defined. After my hair air dries, it is somehow both soft and frizzy. I saw no benefit or improvement to my hair. Shipping took three weeks. At this point, I don’t plan to purchase this product again.

I’ve only used it once so far (with conditioner) but really liked it! I read comments of it taking awhile to get. Sephora has it now so shipping from there was fast. I do think I’m going to return the Oi Milk. Think it’s a great product for many but with wavy hair I’ve learned using both a leave in and curl cream is too heavy and gives my waves a stringy look. I love using curl cream before gel but only use a bit and need to skip the leave in. Then I use plenty of gel and scrunch out the crunch with couple drops of oil to have curls that last for days.

This LOVE shampoo is new for me and so far I’m CRAZY about it. It works perfectly for my highlighted, greying dark blonde hair. As this is San Francisco the salt is always in the air so longish hair gets a little beachy by day three.
What just grabs me is the fabulous fragrance left in the hair after washing. I just sit and inhale the glorious scent.
