MELU Hair Shield Heat protectant for styling

I have been using the hair shield for a couple of years on the advice of my stylist. They use all Davines in their salon. I torture my hair with heat and styling so I like to give it all the love I can

I used this for an outdoor wedding in Florida and my already dry frizzy hair was sure to be a disaster since there was a rain shower 20 minutes before the wedding (humidity!!). Not to mention the wind was just blowing! But I have to say even after all that when we went inside for the dinner it was still looking good! So happy I used it!

The product t itself is ok. The bottle leaks all over my hand which makes me not want to use it.

I have been using the Davines MoMo Shampoo and Conditioner for about 2 weeks. My hair is so soft and smells so good. I also use the volume spray and the heat shield. They both work great!! My hair looks healthier than it has in years. I highly recommend.

Love all the products.

One of the best things about this product is as you’re using it there’s no scent left behind (it smells great when smelling the open bottle but it’s light so no scent when using it). I use it on towel dry hair in sections as I’m blow drying and taking my time. My hair doesn’t end up looking dried out like it will if I didn’t use this first. I’ve also bought the hair shield and stopped using it because my thin to medium hair couldn’t tolerate the heaviness of the product and I lost volume (when I already don’t have much to get). This product gives me the heat protection and is lightweight that I get all the volume I want from blow drying (and I use Davines volume boosting mouse). I highly recommend this product!!!

The spray bottle is difficult to use; the top is too small.

Loveee this heat protector. It left my hair soft and shiny for days. I didn't feel like I needed to add any other products after blow drying. Great value for your $$ too!

I think this product is good, but doesn't leave my hair as silky as I hoped. My hair is Balayaged, thick, and long. I find I have to use more product than I feel I should. I do find that my second day hair looks great, so that is an unexpected benefit.

It’s okay

Holy Grail Melu Hair Shield is my must have, every day, holy grail product. I spray this in my hair wet or dry before any heat styling (blow drying, straightening, curling, etc.). Smells light and amazing, and does not leave the hair feeling crunchy or wet like some other heat protectants do. My hair is so much more healthy since switching to this product and I feel confident that my hair is actually being protected from the heat. PS Pro tip never keep your hot tools higher than 350 degrees!

Great protective spray that adds shine I wanted to write a review to throw in my praise and to address one of the other reviews that said it makes your hair crunchy - I didn't find this to be true at all unless you overdid it when applying the product. You don't need to spray your hair to death with this stuff, I just do 2-3 spritzes on the ends and comb it thru and I love the results. I can tell it's protective of my hair and it adds a nice shine as well. Also, I don't have long hair (its just at shoulder length), or particularly damaged hair, but my stylist compliments me on the condition of my hair every time I come in for a cut/color - she says whatever I'm doing keep it up because the hair shaft and ends are in great shape. I would highly recommend this product, it's pricey but like I said you're not using a lot each time so it'll last!

Really disappointed Let my hair crunchy and sticky, don’t recommend for girls with fine, curly hair that’s been processed. I wanted to love this but only got 25% through the bottle before giving up :/. It does smell nice and the color is pretty

Must have product I have tried a lot of heat protective products but this is hands down my favorite and I now cannot live without it! I have very long hair and I put this product on my hair when its damp, then I air dry and then use my straightener. My hair turns out so healthy looking and soft since I have been using this hair shield. I am obsessed with many of davines products but this one is golden!

Works great and my cat loves it! This is a great product. It works well and is so light, I have fine hair and some products seem really heavy on my hair but not this one. Also, my cat flails around rubbing herself on the floor near where Ive sprayed it. Im not sure what it is she loves about it but if I could isolate it, it would be fantastic!

Keeps Hair Strong My hair is dyed. I spray this product generously before blow drying. My hair feels stronger than when I let my hair air dry.

Fantastic Product, Especially for Growing Out Hair This product is amazing! I'm growing out my hair from a pixie cut to a shoulder-length style for my wedding, and my hairdresser recommended using a heat protectant spray. The one she originally suggested wasn't as environmentally friendly as I would have liked, so I opted for the Melu Hair Shield instead. I can't say enough good things about this product; it smells nice, makes my hair feel soft and doesn't leave any sort of residue. I recently went back to my hairdresser to get a trim, and she said that my hair felt significantly softer and had fewer split ends than the last time I went for a haircut. The only two things I changed were adding this and an occasional leave-in conditioner to my beauty regiment. Thank you, Davines, for making my transition from short to long hair easier!

Fantastic I love this product. It not only protects my hair from drying out my hair when blow drying and using a flat iron daily, it also gives my fine hair some texture.

Excellent product! After 2 weeks of using this product my hair feels as if it's healed from all the blow drying and flat ironing damage and now it feels healthy and soft and every one has noticed and complimented me on the shine my hair also has since using this shield spray.

protects and smells good I use this every morning after blow drying and before curling. Smells awesome and keeps my hair from getting damaged. Not sticky either.

The best thermal protestant on the market! I use this every time I bkowdry my hair and also when I curl or flat iron. I do not feel like there is anything in my hair and it definitely works too. I have been using it for two months now and also when very light with my hair a few weeks ago and still have no damage or dryness to my hair. There is no sticky feeling, just soft silky hair! I will never use anything else
