ALCHEMIC Shampoo Chocolate Chocolate shampoo for brown and black hair

There are not enough reviews for this product line. I tried the chocolate shampoo and conditioner to enhance my naturally brunette hair and add warmth to/darken some ugly, ashy balayage highlights that I got at Belle Sirene Salon in San Diego. Warning, these products are super drying!!! My hair was soft and healthy, but after about 5 or so back to back washes with this product line, my hair started to get dry. This was quite surprising, very off putting, and the reason that I won’t be purchasing these products again. This product line doesn’t deposit a ton of color, so I did back to back washes to build onto the color, which worked. The color eventually washed out of my natural hair once I stopped using the products. However, the stain on my highlights was a bit more permanent, which was good news for me/my situation.

Best hair products I’ve ever tried. 64 years, thinning straight color treated hair. Makes my hair full, color lasts longer and is so soft and shiny without weighing it down.

I bought this to help cover my gray hairs. I don't have many and figured this would be a healthier way to do it vs. dying my hair. The shampoo and conditioner combo definitely stain my hands and nails during application (washes off with warm water and soap), but I'm unconvinced that it actually does anything to color my gray hairs. To be fair, this product is not advertised as gray coverage, so this could be entirely on me.

I have light brown/dark blonde hair and used to use the Tobacco shampoo and conditioner. It didn't do enough to cover my greys, so I switched to another brand's color depositing conditioners in golden brown. But then it was annoying that every time I shampoo'd, I had to start over with color depositing. So then I switched back to this shampoo in Chocolate for more intense color depositing and the other conditioner, and it has worked great. Color depositing shampoos don't do a whole lot, but this highly pigmented one deposits enough that I don't lose my color from shampooing. Now I'm going to try the Chocolate conditioner with the Chocolate shampoo and I think I'll have a great routine. My greys blend in as highlights.

The first time I used the shampoo, I really loved it. It made my hair so shiny and rich. The second time though, it covered all my highlights. She had to use a clarifying shampoo, and dye remover to get back the where we were in our process of graying gracefully to achieve salt and pepper. Talk to your stylist first. Back to the silver shampoo, Heart of Glass.

I just started using this shampoo and very pleased with it. It adds just the right amount of color into my grey hair to give it a natural look. I definitely plan to keep using this product and may add the color conditioner!

Had my hair done in Mexico City, hairdresser shared Davine with me, came home to LA., made an online order, and here I am again ordering another!!

I do think this helps my dark hair look rich and freshly colored for much longer. It does not cover greys like I was hoping. Would love a pump dispenser.

Its ok. I bought this to help my color last longer...I think it may have helped some. I used LOVE before this...and will probably go back to it. I don't understand why they don't put a pump in the bottle. It is thinner than the LOVE and easy can spill our if your aren't careful. Its too expensive to spill any of it.
