The ponytail is a hairstyle staple that’s feminine, chic and seriously practical for summer.
It’s perfect for when you want to look put-together but don’t have much time to spare, you can dress it up or down, and it's totally easy to master in six easy steps. Read on for how to pull together the perfect perky, full ponytail every time.
Step 1: Line it up
To figure out the best spot for your pony, align it with where your cheekbones are–on a diagonal–and pull it back to that point.Step 2: Smooth it
Then use Davines This is an Invisible No Gas Spray and a bristle brush to sleek back your hair and smooth all around it

Step 3: Secure it
For a high, swingy pony, secure your hair with two elastics.
Step 4: Braid and wrap it
Take a small section from underneath the ponytail, braid it, and then just wrap it around the ponytail, and secure it with a couple of pins to hide your elastics.

Step 5: Add volume
Starting from the middle, take sections of your ponytail and tease at the root, making your way to the front, before working Davines This is a Dry Texturizer through the length of the pony.
Step 6: Hold it in place
Finish your pony by spraying your hands with Davines This is an Invisible No Gas Spray and smooth out any little baby hairs and flyaways.
Think your strands are too short to pull into a pony? Think again! Just follow these same six steps to create a half-up ponytail instead.
