This did not have enough grit and it made my hair heavy.

My fine, limp hair now has fullness, shine and bounce with Davines products. Volu shampoo, volume boostng mousse, oi oil and texturizer finishing spray are my solid routine. I add sparkle with heart of glass sheer glaze and shimmering mist for dressy style. Love you Davines!

My hair stylist introduced me to This Is A Dry Texturizer and it's exactly what I need. It creates heft and volume of my hair strands without weighing it down and making it flat. You can even comb through it and the effect remains. I love this texturizer, and intend for it to become a permanent part of my hair care routine. My only dislike is the strong scent. It's not offensive, but I love to wear perfume, but I feel like if I do, it will clash with the strong scent of my hair. A non-scented version would be absolutely perfect. If you're on the fence, buy the travel size and just give it try. I think you'll like it!

I’m a hardcore, long time Davines user. This texture spray is just another amazing product BUT I’m with the other reviewers who hate the smell. It’s so funny because the Oi line smells incredible. This spray smells like sickeningly sweet baby powder. The smell does dissipate, but those first 10 mins are awful. I love you Davines. Please offer another fragrance option!

I like the spray. It gives me the gritty "dirty" feel I like. Don't care for the smell too much.

This worked minor miracles on my fine hair. Plan on foregoing perfume the day you use this, though, as the fragrance though delicious is strong and sticks around a couple days until you shampoo.

I'm hooked. I have very fine hair that I frequently wear up--but have a hard time making it look & feel substantial enough. The other night, I was going to the opera and tried out my just-purchased travel-size bottle of this texturizer. Wow, I could actually put my hair in a dressed-up proper French twist, with pins that otherwise would just fall out of my weak 'do. The smell, well, it is fun but it was a lot...so I didn't wear perfume that night to prevent fragrance-fighting. I'll definitely be purchasing more of this!

I love this lightweight hair texturizing spray. I have super fine, aging hair and it definitely helps to give it a bit of substance and helps to hold the style longer.it can be easily restyled throughout the day. Great smell also. I recommend the product.

First I have to admit...I hate products other than shampoo and rinse...until I found this one. I love how it smells! I love it is easy to use. I especially love that I can reapply it throughout the day or the next day and there is no "sticky hair spray" feeling. Don't change a thing.

I've been looking for a replacement for a product from another manufacturer that's no longer available. This is close. It works, but the scent it off putting, and even 20 hrs later it's all over my bed pillows. Lowering the scent by at least half would raise my verdict. There's a cloud of product that's difficult for anyone with lung problems. Its more than the other 5 volumizers I'm trying.

This is hands-down, the best dry texturizer out there! I have tried many other top brands, and this one leaves your hair, soft and silky the next day even, not coarse and dry… Also, the fragrance is lovely! Highly recommend!

I loved this with the old smell. It’s literally the reason I stayed with davines in the first place - my husband loved it when I would spray my hair. He thought the smell was so incredible. And then I ran out and bought again and now I warn him before spraying it. It’s so awful. The product works fine. I compared the old bottle and new and the old one was more pink colored on the label and I thought the ingredients were changed but I dont have the photo anymore.

Perfect product for enhancing texture in relatively fine short hair

FANTASTIC! My hair stylist recommended this when I asked for help finding a new hairspray (I used Aveda’s for years but was hoping to find something better at enabling my hair to stay in place, particularly when it’s in a high tussled bun). I’d never used a texturizing spray before, and definitely wanted something that smelled great, so when she suggested this, I was open to giving it a shot. Well I totally love this product — it gives my hair hold without weighing it down or making it sticky or dry, and it also has a great fragrance just like all of the many Davines products I use at this point. It’s also great when I want my hair down, and I pick up a few sections and spray a little bit here and there. It is expensive, but a little goes a long way and my first bottle lasted about 9 months. But it does sell out I learned, when I went back to my salon to restock, and then here online. So I had to buy a Kevin Murphy spray for an interim, which I didn’t like at all because in comparison it smelled so much like chemicals, while also not achieving the same great results I’d become used to. So I am so glad this came back in stock recently, and now I can style my hair again with this exceptional product that doesn’t leave me wanting for anything!

Can someone tell me if the smell changed? The first bottle I got was perfect, smelled like vanilla cupcakes but not overwhelming. My second bottle smells like rottn guava

Seems there are 50% who love the smell and 50% who hate the smell. I do not like it. It does not smell like cupcakes or cotton candy to me, but more like a faint sweet cigar. Maybe create different scents to choose from?? So those who love can keep this one and those who don't can pick a different one?

I love the scent!

Some people are complaining about the scent but this is a LOVE for me. So many products all smell the same or give you more or less the same results but this dry texturizizing spray is something unique, PLEASE DON’T CHANGE A THING! but definitely bring it back in stock already. i love how it gives me weightless texture, the scent is DIVINE and uniquely davines and i love having the option of a travel size.

I have fine waves/curly hair that can become frizzy with styling. This product keeps my curls soft and prevents any frizz from developing. I agree about the scent…really strong, sweet smell. I wish they tone it down a bit?

With fine hair I’m always on the lookout for texturizing spray. I decided to give this a try after reading reviews and it does a great job of giving texture and volume. The one dislike I have is the scent. It’s really odd and not in a good way. Unfortunately I’m not sure if I’ll buy this again because of the smell. I’d suggest trying the travel size first.

Love it The scent is super strong, so this could be a love it or hate it product. Personally, I love it! My hair smells sweet like dessert until I wash it again. I have long, heavy hair and this is the first product I’ve found that gives me body and volume. A bit of dry shampoo, this spray, and oi oil on the ends has proven to be magic for my hair and cut down on my need to wash, and overall time for my hair routine.

Just okay The other Davines products I've used have been amazing, and this texture spray was nothing special. It's comparable to other texture sprays, but I really couldn't get over the smell. It reminds me of the strawberry shortcake doll I had as a kid, and the smell definitely lingers. I tend to like products that I use and forget about. This made my hair feel dry, and as a 35 year old woman, I hated walking around smelling like a cupcake.

Perfect for hairspray haters First of all, this stuff makes your hair smell like a cotton candy marshmallow dream. Amazing. It's light, but holds my waves in place perfectly so they look natural but don't fall out easily. I used to hate hairspray and refused to use it. This stuff is a game changer. Please don't change anything and please don't stop making it!

Travel size I recently began to use this product and immediately loved it. I have wavy hair and often humidity makes it frizzy. I used this only twice after taking it on Vacation and I could not believe how defined my curls were and the scent was amazing. It smelled edible even after not washing for two days. No need for dry shampoo. I was extremely disappointed when I accidentally placed it in my carryon and not my checked bag and it was thrown in the trash by security. I had just purchased this and only had a few uses. I looked for it in some of abroad specialty stores but sadly nowhere to be found. A travel size would have been great.

This texuriser is so nice I am using this spray about a month ago when I started to work in a local salon with Davines products, and I like how it gives to my clients that natural beach look. Best Texturizer I've Tried I've tried a lot of texturizes, and this is by far the best. I have fine hair and use this daily. After I wash and dry, I spray at the roots and put in a self roller for about 10 minutes. It gives my hair volume. Nothing works as good as Davines dry texturizer.
