ALCHEMIC Conditioner Silver

This is the best hair conditioner I have ever used. It makes my dry, frizzy and very thin hair look hydrated, full and bouncy. It also makes my silver hair shine. The only issue is that I love it so much that I want to use it daily but if I use it more then 2-3 times a week, in bright sunshine my hair looks blue.

This does help with toning, but for my black hair, it needs to be used more like a mask than a conditioner. I leave it in for ~1-2 hours after shampoo, then it helps combat brassiness for ~1 week. I don't like the smell of this as much as other Davine's products, but it does smell better than any other purple conditioner I've used.

If your hair tends to turn brassy after lightening/highlights like mine, this thick, luscious conditioner is your solution! I use it once a week, putting it on after shampooing, finishing my shower ritual, then rinsing it off right before I step out of the shower. It keeps the brass to a minimum. Highly recommended!

Great on grey hair

I love this conditioner. My hair actually feels better after using it. I used it to tone my hair in-between hair appointments and my colorist actually complemented the tone of my blonde. Really helps maintain blonde hair color without damaging it.

Beautiful results on platinum hair! I bleach and tone my own hair platinum blonde, like really super white-silver but maintaning that faint silver tone is very hard without your hair going too grey, purple, or not toning enough of the yellow out when it crops up. Purple shampoos tend to leave purple splotches on me due to uneven porosity (which is very normal on hair as light as mine, a level 10 for that real bright white color is going to have parts that are more porous than others compared to someone who may be a level 9 platinum). A friend gave me her tub of this conditioner when she didn't really like it on her level 8 blonde and I am in love. It's not really like a deep conditioner so I don't treat it as such, but it tones SO well and my hair doesn't grab onto the color in the porous spots so I have a very even result. I usually leave it on for about 6-8 minutes to get me that shimmer of silver. My naturals curls respond well to it also, they're very bouncy and shiny after using this. The color in the tub is kind of scary (it's DARK) but it doesn't deposit that level of pigment, at least not instantly. Normally $31 would make me balk for a conditioner but I love the results of this so much I will definitely be buying it myself when my jar runs out. The cult status of this is not overblown at all, it's legitimately as good as people say it is.

One of the best conditioners for bleached hair I have been bleaching my hair from dark blonde to ultralight blonde for years and have tried virtually all toning conditioners. I love this product's colouring features. It has a fully violet pigment bordering on blue, so it's perfect for hair that has washed down to yellow (probably less appropriate if your hair is not bleached all the way and gets orange-brassy). A concern for overprocessed hair like mine is varying porosity which makes a lot of conditioners, including high-end ones, stain hair in patches even if applied well. This conditioner distributes color perfectly and gently, bringing hair towards very light creamy platinum evenly, regardless of the very high and very uneven porosity of my hair. Great price performance, highly recommend!

Incredible Product! I love how gentle this conditioner is and how amazing it makes my hair smell and feel. My stylist turned me onto it and I just can't get over how quickly you can see results. It takes all the brassy tones out of my hair but leaves it feeling quenched and well nourished. This conditioner is a dream!

The Best I love this product and have been using it for almost 3 years. Twice a week I tone my platinum blonde hair with it. A little goes a long way. My hair is very fine and bleached and I like how gentle this is. It also doesn't have silicone or anything heavy that weighs my hair down. The natural curl in my hair comes out after using it. I will continue to use for a long time.

Great for Healthy Toning This product is awesome. It is the only color-correcting/toning hair product I own that leaves my hair feeling healthy and hydrated afterwards rather than dry. It is a little on the pricier end, but I really only use it as a mask when I need touch ups on my highlights/balayage, and it’s lasted me a long time. I already have dry and brittle fine hair, so I’m especially careful about the products I put in my hair and this is a great one. It tones AND makes my hair healthy. Would definitely recommend!

Best conditioner for platinum hair Use it once a week as a toner refresh by leaving it on for 10 minutes and my blonde never goes brassy! Only have to get my blonde touched up when I go in every 6 months for a root touch up! Comb through while product is on right before rinsing out and my hair is completely detangled and smooth after rinsing.

So disappointed. I couldn't wait to try these products, as I'm allowing my gray hair to grow and need to manage the blonde that's growing out. I have no strong feelings about the companion shampoo but unfortunately I do have very strong feelings about this conditioner; so much that I stopped blow drying my hair midway to write this review. This has no slip whatsoever. I followed the directions, I applied it generously, waited 5 minutes, and began to comb it through. My hair was such a tangled mess, I had to apply my regular conditioner to untangle and it was still almost impossible. After rinsing, I had to use my spray leave-in conditioner to untangle again! With the amount of other conditioning I had to do, my hair feels like straw. This is $31 in the trash. I do not recommend this product.

Good for Golden Blondes Too This product is advertised for platinum blonde and grey tones, but I have a golden blonde color which I really didn't want to ruin so I was a little nervous to test out this product. The conditioner is a very intense violet color which is obviously for a newbie a little scary to put in your hair. I tested it on my tips to start, and my hair did not turn purple (thank God). Also noticed my hair is super shiny, softer, and smells awesome. It didn't ruin my color at all, it actually seems a little brighter, but maybe I'm just projecting my excitement onto my hair- too soon to say I've only used it once so far. I will say it doesn't lather very well, and felt like I had to use a lot to really feel like I had any in my hair (hence the 4 stars). But the end result was great. I'll probably use this product once a week for a pick me up, and a regular conditioner throughout the rest of the week.

No more brassy hair! I use this twice a week on my platinum hair and noticed it helps keep the color longer and less brassy and its good for the environment!!!

For my white hair I had read reviews for this conditioner so I had to give it a try. I recently stop dying my hair since it became 90% gray/white. I just couldnt keep up and hated the the thought of adding such harsh chemicals to my my scalp every 3 weeks. I am so happy I took the plunge. I am learning that this color to look its best requires certain care. It can become dry, dingy and yellowish from polluntants and built up products. I use a clarifying shampoo as well as Alchemic Conditioning Silver and I love it so much.. It doesn't turn my bathtub or hands purple like others can. It makes my hair feel amazing.it smells so good, makes it shine and look so healthy and bright. Hands down the best purplish conditioner I have ever used. It will definitely be my mainstay.

not happy my hair got real snarled. took 10 minutes to get it combed

No seal on tubs. Removing a star. I received two tubs without seals, I opened the lids and lo and behold......the product itself for all the world to see. The tubs seemed like they were only 3/4s full although I'm willing to accept the 'settling' explanation. I am disappointed that I took the time to buy off the Davines website and received what may have been salon samples. I asked the person who I was buying these for whether she minded (she lives in another country) and she said no - it would take too long for replacements so I mailed them to her. Otherwise excellent product, she says.

Silky smooth hair This conditioner is incredible. It smells amazing and as soon as I wash it out my hair feels so soft. I have tried several purple hair products for my blonde hair and this one has been the best so far! I took this shampoo and conditioner to Hawaii since I was in the ocean daily for two weeks and it kept my hair healthy and bright!

Very nourishing I use this once or twice a week and it's fabulous for my processed grannie hair. Out of the whole line, this is my favorite conditioner.

Fairly good conditioner It has enough conditioning besides the purple color that is essential for colored or blonde hair.

Love this product This conditioner is sooo amazing. And takes out the brassiness. I use / have tried a lot of "purple" products, and this one is hands down one of my favorites AND doesn't fry out my hair the way other products do. Love love love and highly recommend!

Perf cry for my silver hair I have searched and searched for a shampoo to brighten and condition my silver hair. I am a very young 60 year old,active in the work force, and can't risk looking purple or crispy! This shampoo and conditioner does the trick, and doesn't weigh my hair down.

Love this color depositing conditioner! I love Davines Alchemic conditioners and have for years! I first used their Copper one when I was dying my hair red for years and it helped maintain my red so well! Now that I'm blonde, this helps keep brassiness more at bay then the other blonde one I was using before. It makes the hair feel silky, smooth, and moisturized! It is powerful, so a little goes a longgg way! And it is a very dark purple color in the tub so don't be scared! Best product I've used for color management!

Great for Blonde hair, not easy to lather though Just went platinum and needed a good purple shampoo. I'd been using Davine's OI Beautifying Shampoo, and comparing this Alchemic shampoo to that one, it just doesn't lather up the same. I need about twice as much of the alchemic shampoo to work it entirely through my hair, which is disappointing. The quality seems to be really great though, and that's what matters most in the end. Great ingredients. Definitely use with the conditioner!!

Amazing results I had been about a month with out any purple shampoo type products so I had really bad golden tones in my hair . Used the product twice in two weeks my hair was less brassy and toned out . Love the smell and softness it gives my hair . customer service is also amazing
