I just got hand tied hair extensions and was told not to use products with protein. I almost skipped this one because one of the reviews said there was too much protein in the product for her hair. I looked up all of the ingredients and I saw no protein in the product; for those of you that have extensions.

This is the best hair butter I’ve ever used. I have fine hair, with IBE extensions. This doesn’t weigh my hair down, and takes great care of my extensions. Love that it comes in a travel size. I’ll never be without this.

I just got a sample of this with my nounou shampoo and I am OBSESSED. I already ordered a full size. I have relaxed hair and we are currently in the dead of winter in chicago so my hair has been STRUGGLING. This brought so much moisture into my hair it was the perfect pre shampooing mask. I know this will be a game changer in my routine, I’m just upset I didn’t try this sooner!

My hair feels amazing. That is the only reason I feel comfortable giving this a single star. I currently have a headache because of the scent. I am usually not very particular with scents as long as they aren't too foodlike, but this scent is atrocious. I cannot understand how someone could enjoy this fragrance. It is nauseating to me to the point that I had to go on reddit to make sure I wasn't alone. I don't know what it is but I hope I'm never around another product like this. My hair feels great and really soft though, I wish they had an unscented version or one with a more tolerable scent at least.

Not for me— unlike the Love conditioner, this one leaves my hair, dry and stuff, so I suspect it’s just too much protein for my fine, delicate here to handle. However, the oil leave in conditioner milk from the same line is absolutely fantastic and I’ve used three bottles since January 2023.

Wow! This is the Magic Formula for my fragile processed hair! I use the Oi Shampoo and Oi Oil religiously and recently switched from the Oi Conditioner to the Body Butter for my conditioner and this is exactly what my hair needed. My hair is so easy to comb thru after showering now and so soft and healthy. I love this line and this product!

Biggest win is that my super fine hair no longer breaks when shampooing. And I am noticing FAR less breakage when brushing and styling. Love this stuff! I’ve used oi shampoo and conditioner for at least a year, with the oi oil and milk. This was the missing link!

Up until now, I struggled to find a good conditioner that actually would make my dry, bleached, straw like and damaged hair feel silky. I also wear hair extensions. I tried full Oi product line and was never really impressed. Until I tried this hair butter. It is amazing! I use it after Olaplex shampoo and leave it on for about 10 min. Right after first use, I was impressed. My wet hair felt amazing! I will be buying this stuff forever. I dried my hair as usual, styled and was impressed. There was no frizz, hair felt like silk and there was actually lots of volume. Just one thing to mention, the day I stated using Oi hair butter, I also started using Kerastase hair oil. The combination of these two products, does unimaginable!

Miracle Worker!
I have thick, curly, long, aging hair and have been losing my curl pattern over the years. I've desperately tried everything I could find in stores and salons. I recently found a new salon I love that introduced me to Davines products. This has been LIFE CHANGING. Within the first week I used Oi Butter, my curl pattern was miraculously restored and I have been a superfan ever since. Before Oi Butter, I had thought my curls were never coming back and was having such a difficult time accepting that my hair would never be the same. Because of Oi Butter, I now get compliments on my hair again and I finally feel like myself --and I owe it all to Davines!!! This is exactly what I've been needing and I couldn't be more grateful!!!

I’ve recently gotten hand tied hair extensions installed with my relaxed very damaged hair. This mask has been amazing. I use it weekly on the ends of my hair and my natural relaxed hair. It literally makes your hair feel like BUTTER. I’m a product junkie and have used tons of masks before but this one takes the cake.

OI Butter leaves my curls hydrated and super soft!
I have been using the OI Oil for several years and have always loved it so I knew I had to try the OI Butter. I'm so glad I did! I use it in the shower twice a week in place of my Love Conditioner. I rinse it out but then add just a little more to the ends before I step out of the shower. It helps to detangle my curls and my hair is super soft when it dries. I am definitely hooked on this new Davines product! :)

Not for my hair, disappointed
I was highly anticipating using this in my hair, because I absolutely love the oil version. I thought this would leave my hair with a similar soft texture and lovely smell. The only thing it did for me was give my hair a nice smell, otherwise it stiffened my hair. At first, it was working well for braiding my hair, but once my hair came out of the braid, it was once again very stiff and dry. My hair was not soft anymore and I had to wash this stuff out. I wish I had the $50 I used to buy this from my favourite salon on a larger bottle of oil instead, because that is my go to product.
This may work for someone who has thinner hair. My hair is very thick. The oil is absolutely amazing though.

So I don’t usually use Davines products but I do go to a davines salon. My stylist gave me a sample of the OI Hair Butter to try and I was a little nervous that it would be comparable to the Oribe Gold Lust Pre Treatment product. That left my hair greasy and was hard to wash out. I do have fine hair, a lot of it, and it has been bleached to smitherines! This product smelled pretty strong but not bad. A little did NOT go a long way for me (I applied to dry hair starting at the ends) and the sample didn’t come close to saturating my hair. Maybe it’s not supposed to? I ended up covering the rest of my hair with Brigeo Don’t Despair Repair mask and I ended up really happy with the results, most of which I attribute to the OI Hair Butter since I used the Brigeo product previously and wasn’t wowed,
