I love this shampoo and the conditioner that goes with it. Most toning shampoos tend to be more drying than normal shampoos and also don’t lather super well. This shampoo lathers nicely and together with the conditioner, my hair feels and looks very moisturized after washing and allowing to dry. It also has a nice powdery scent and will eliminate brass after just one wash with it, whereas other products usually take multiple washes, dry out my hair, and don’t smell very good.

my silver hair needed reviving but not at the cost of drying out my scalp or further drying of hair .. dry hair frizzes .. summer means frizz so i needed something new and i found the Alchemic Shampoo Silver (and the conditoner) and to say i was happy is an understatement .. soft shining silver waves instead of dull frizz .. thank you Davines thank you

My daughter purchased the Alchemic conditioner for Mother’s Day gift last year . I use it to brighten my blonde highlights when they start to turn brassy. The conditioner works well so I decided to purchase the Alchemic shampoo to go along with it. They work well together or to use separately with other shampoo or conditioners. I married my husband 37 years ago, now that he is older he is grayer ,he also uses the products. It makes his hair look shiny and more vibrant . We would both recommend the products.

Everyone began to comment on how good my hair looks after I started using Heart of Glass by Davines so I bought my 89 year old mother their Alchemic Silver and she is now receiving comments on her thin silver permed hair. I also got her the OI oil, that I also use, and her hair literally glistens!

Reaction to shampoo?
I’ve used lots of Davines products and loved each one! But the silver alchemic shampoo dried out my scalp so bad that I had dandruff and bleeding! It doesn’t lather very well which is alright, but it felt like my scalp and hair were so dry. I’m really disappointed considering I don’t have a sensitive scalp at all. I see from the reviews it works for some, but I’m sad it didn’t for me! Also, it didn’t tone the yellow out of my hair at all whatsoever. I used both alchemic silver shampoo and conditioner and used as directed. Overall, didn’t work as advertised for me :(

I have brown hair that is highlighted. This shampoo now replaces the Lush Daddy-O
I was previously using. This tones all the yellow, brassy color out of my highlights. It doesn’t take much to make a good lather, it rinses clean and has a lovely scent. My fine hair feels silky without being limp. I usually let this sit on my hair for 3-5 minutes to allow it work. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

I received this shampoo and conditioner in a Birchbox, and I keep going back to it! After using this product, my hair is so soft, light and leaves a wonderful, light fragrance. I am a natural blonde and this leaves my hair tone looking so nice!

The absolute best collection for gray hair
I recently began allowing my gray to grow out, mixing in brunette lowlights through the transition. It's been painful to watch, but the alchemic sliver shampoo and conditioner have been god sends. They tone down the brassy edge of my my old coloring and keep the gray looking bright. I tried several other products for brightening gray hair, but they were extremely drying. The benefit the others offered my color was far outweighed by the horrible texture that resulted. I highly recommend alchemic silver shampoo and conditioner.

Love this product! Was introduced by a salon professional who said my natural hair color had too many colors and looked brash. Shocked and embracing my age, decided to try the product. Use it daily. Conditioner every other day.
Strangers walk up to me and comment on my hair. Both men and women. Either women who wish they had the confidence to go natural or men who wish their wives would feel confident enough to go natural and embrace their gray. All make me feel great, but I do it because my hair is healthy, beautiful and shiny.
My Mom is now using the product...the highest compliment of all! Thank you Davines...we love this product.

Beat the brass
I love this shampoo with the conditioner. It is hard to lather if you just put the shampoo on your hair and try to scrub, but it you will get some water on your hair after applying it...it lathers perfectly. I would highly recommend using the conditioner afterwards because this shampoo does not provide moisture and left my hair feeling stiff. However the conditioner is incredible in putting moisture back into your hair.

My hair stylist recommended using this shampoo to prolong my time between highlights- I'm about 3 weeks in and so far so good! The only thing is it does not get super sudsy- not an issue just different.

Keeps my blonde BRIGHT!
Having extremely dark brown hair it is quite difficult to keep my blonde highlight from turning orange. I use this shampoo twice a week to keep my hair SUPER BRIGHT! I absolutely love it! I like to leave it on for the duration of my shower and rinse it out after a couple minutes - this seems to be the perfect amount of time to target the highlights for me. I am SO THANKFUL I found this product - keeps me from having to get my hair done as often!

Best Shampoo and Conditioner line Ever
I have been using this product for more than five years. I went to a stylist who used this product on my hair the first time and have been hooked on it ever since. I would go to the ends of the earth to get it if need be.

Other blue shampoos are way too drying. This works just as well and doesn't feel like it turns bleached hair into straw.

I use this shampoo every time I get my hair dyed and it helps it stay golden blonde instead of orange. It is hard for me to find purple shampoo that won't damage my natural curly hair
