Long time client of Salon Del Mar and Davines products. Can’t wait for New Color so I can start coloring my hair again. (Natural redhead)

On a positive note, hair actually feels clean after shampooing and conditioning. The downside - the scent. Oh, it totally aligns with "clean", but it smells like diluted Kaboom bathroom cleaner. Why?!!
P.S. I've had curly hair all of my life, but caring for it was never is complicated and costly. What has the hair care industry done to create this frenzy?

I love this product. It's perfect for when I let my hair go natural. It makes the waves look great!

This one leaves my hair sticky, dry looking, and straight no matter the amount I use. It does not work for my hair at all. The curl controller that I have been using for years is SO MUCH better. The curl controller leaves my hair soft, shiny, a very curly. I was hoping to add the curl primer to my routine when I want to diffuse my hair, but I cannot get it to work for me. I see that the curl controller is out of stock. I'm really hoping this is not intended as a replacement for it, because it is absolutely not an equal replacement.

Just started using the curl primer along with the curl building serum and my curls love it! This picture is after I used the Love curl shampoo and conditioner in the shower followed by the Oi all in one milk on towel dried hair. Then I applied the serum and curl primer (sparingly, as a little goes a long way) and scrunched while blow drying my hair upside down. And Voila! Beautiful, shiny curls with tons of body and volume. I’m sold!

I’ve been using this product (along with the shampoo/conditioner) for a couple of weeks and so far I love it! My hair is happy. After reading others concerns about silicone, I tried doing some of my own research. It is not a toxic chemical, although it seems it can build up on the hair shaft and eventually even cause breakage. However, a light water-soluble produce washes out easily. This product doesn’t seem to building up to me and washes out nicely. Another option would be to not use it every day. Only time will tell, but right now I’m a fan!

Why?
Amodimethicone is a good silicone but isn't anyone worried about the drying alcohol (denatured) in the top of the ingredients list. And why on earth does a blow dry prep contain vinyl caprolactam (which can build up and, copolymers are film-formers, I believe)? There's isopropyl alcohol (drying) in it as well and the good conditioning agents are present in tinier amounts than the cheap okay ones. At $26 I have to step away from this product.

This is a different curl creme!
I understand all the angst about chemicals , especially damaging ones. However all products aren’t created or crafted the same. I too, felt disappointed when I found that Davines did not have organic or all natural products. I used the Curls line and it was my gotta have. I stopped buying it because I thought it was bad for my hair, but it wasn’t. It has become a healthy staple in my product line up (again) which has kept my hair healthy, bouncy and beautiful. I am an African American woman from the East Coast and when I didn’t have Davine’s curl creme it was pretty noticeable. I tried not using them for years and no matter what or which organic or all natural products I used, they could never replace Davines. So I’m back to this delicious and delightfully moisturizing line of love .

The silicone in this is water soluble, and does not build up in the hair!
Don't be alarmed by the silicone in this one. Not all silicones are created equal.

Silicones
Everybody with curly hair is trying to avoid silicones yet most of the products for curly hair appear to include them. Please come out with products that don't include silicones in them.
